About WordCamp Brighton 2017

WordCamp Brighton will be held on the 18th and 19th of August 2017 at The Old Market. There will also be a Contribution Day on the 20th August 2017 at Eagle Labs Brighton.

What is WordCamp Brighton 2017?

WordCamps are informal conferences organised by WordPress users. They’re a chance for everyone to learn, share knowledge and celebrate WordPress together.

WordCamps happen all over the world. This year, we’re organising the second ever WordCamp Brighton.

We’re building a fun, accessible and diverse event. Everyone is welcome to take part.


What happens at WordCamp?

WordCamp Brighton 2017 will run over three days. You can attend one, two or all three days.

Friday 18th August 2017

What: Workshop Day

Where: The Old Market

On Friday there will be three workshops where you can deep-dive into various areas of WordPress. There will also be five lightning talks and one long talk, covering diverse topics related to WordPress.

Lunch will be provided, and tea and coffee will be provided all day.

Saturday 19th August 2017

What: Conference Day and After Party

Where: The Old Market

Saturday will be a full day of informative talks on diverse topics related to WordPress.

Lunch will be provided, and tea and coffee will be provided all day.

In the evening, we’re holding an After Party with dinner provided.

The After Party is a relaxed social event where you can meet others and network with the WordPress community.

Sunday 20th August 2017

What: Contribution Day

Where: Eagle Labs Brighton

Sunday 10am – 4pm is Contribution Day. This is a day for collaborating with others to help make WordPress even better.

Lunch will be provided, and tea, coffee will be provided all day.

Depending on your interests, there are many different areas of WordPress you can contribute to. It’s an opportunity to work alongside people in a similar field to you. Or you might discover an entirely new area of interest. Find out about the different contributor groups here.
