Getting to know the team behind 34SP.com

We’re lucky to welcome a whole group of 34SP.com folks to WordCamp Brighton again this year. Get to know them a little better in this guest post. And when you see their friendly faces around WordCamp, don’t be afraid to stop them for a chat 🌞

34SP.com staff are more than managed WordPress Hosting experts – we’re part of the WordPress community.

You’ll see us at WordCamp Brighton 2017, proud Pavilion sponsors, sporting our blue company coloured shirts on the very blue looking stand.

Looking past those for a second, you’ll see our ridiculously good personal fashion 😉 Toy Story themed Converse, funky tights, blue eye shadow, American football jerseys, and anoraks.

We are staff members of 34SP.com, but more importantly we are Daniel, Siobhan, Keith and Kayleigh and we’ve spent this year travelling the UK supporting WordCamps and WordPress user groups.

We’re fun, we’re all super different from each other, and the thing that unites us is our big love for WordPress.

Collectively, we have many fingers in many pies! Some of us organise WordPress user groups, speak regularly at events and WordCamps, and contribute to WordPress in our own ways.

We like to raise the bar and show that sponsorship is not only about what’s in your wallet – it’s about giving your time and teachings too.

Come over and say hello #wcbtn

We’re all at WordCamp Brighton for different reasons:

  1. To learn: We’ve already bookmarked the talks we can’t miss!
  2. To make new friends: You’ll see some of the regular WordCampers hanging around our stand – come join in the chat.
  3. To talk to you about our own managed WordPress Hosting: You may or may not be in the market for new hosting, but we’d still love to keep in touch!

Breaking the ice

You’ve heard of all the major players in the WordPress hosting industry, so why might you not have heard of us before? It’s true we don’t have the most memorable name… and we don’t have a massive marketing budget – but that’s okay. We’ve always put the money where we believe it matters most – into our staff, into WordPress, and into our infrastructure.

We encourage our staff to learn and to make a place for themselves in the WordPress community. Life behind the screen can get a little lonely, so to break the ice…

Dan Foster is our MD. He’s also a pilot: check out Daniel’s YouTube channel. Dan is probably one of the nicest bosses you’ll ever meet…even if he is a cat person.

He enjoys the WordPress community for its diversity and good nature. Dan gives back to WordPress generously, sponsoring many local events and WordCamps, speaking at events, and encouraging 34SP.com staff to get involved too.

Here’s his latest talk: How the Internet Works

Favourite feature of our WordPress Hosting: “It has to be automatic updates, hands down.

I like WordCamps for: “The atmosphere. WordCamps give me chance to meet up with our existing customers, to talk to them directly and have a drink with them. It’s the perfect environment for networking. If we pick up new customers along the way all the better!
